Institute of Professional Studies And Research (IPSAR) – started as an endeavor in 1988 by Late Dr. R.N. Misra – a visionary educationist of Orissa in the field of Management and Cost Accountancy. The institute was formed as a Society under the Societies Registration Act 1860 and continues to be governed as a society. Late Ranganath Mishra, Former Chief Justice of India became the patron of the institute and helped the Institute in getting the first approval from The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), under the chairmanship of Prof H.K. Khanna. Eminent personalities like Mr B.B.Rath Senior Advocate, Orissa High Court, Mr L.N.More senior Chartered Accountant joined as co-opted members while Mr J.K.Misra, Chartered Accountant became a full time member.

The IPSAR Computer Lab is equipped with modern infrastructure and high-speed internet to support practical learning in programming, data science, AI/ML, and web technologies . Our labs are used for regular academic sessions, workshops, online certifications, and project development.
The IPSAR Computer Lab is a modern and fully equipped facility designed to foster hands-on learning and practical skill development in the field of computer applications and technology. The lab hosts 60 high-performance computers with updated hardware and software configurations, ensuring a seamless learning environment for both programming and research activities. All systems are connected to a high-bandwidth 100 Mbps leased line, offering uninterrupted internet access to support online tools, e-resources, and cloud-based applications.
The lab supports a wide range of programming environments and software including C, C++, Java, Python, MySQL, MATLAB, R Programming and specialized tools for data science,Internet-of-Things, machine learning, and web development. It is designed to meet to the curriculum of BCA, MCA, and other technical programs. Each student is allotted an individual workstation for focused learning. The infrastructure is further enhanced with air conditioning, power backup, LCD projectors for demonstrations, and printing facilities.
Faculty members and lab assistants are available during lab hours to provide guidance and ensure safety protocols. The lab remains open from 9:30 AM to 5:30 PM on all working days, and extended hours are offered during project submissions and assessments. It plays a pivotal role in project development, software testing, coding marathons, and placement-oriented technical training.

The IPSAR Central Library, with a plinth area of 160 sq.m, is a vital academic resource center for students and faculty. The library houses a rich collection of 2,854 book titles, including 2,359 for MBA and 495 for MCA. It maintains a stock of 15,313 books across disciplines— 2,048 for MCA, 11,053 for MBA, and 2,212 for other programs. To support digital learning, it offers access to 525 e-books (MBA: 255, MCA: 270) and subscribes to 176 e-journals, along with 17 printed journals (8 international and 9 national).
The library features one spacious reading room with a seating capacity of 60 students and is open from 9:30 AM to 5:30 PM. Each student is issued one borrowing card. It also subscribes to 3 newspapers (English and Odia Language) and 30 magazines, enhancing general awareness among students. High-speed internet connectivity is available with 6 dedicated computer terminals for student use. In addition, printing and photocopying facilities are provided. The library’s digital repository includes 55 DVDs consisting of 30 student projects and 5000+ digital book resources form DELNET, ensuring a comprehensive blend of print and digital content for a robust academic experience.
